The festival is an outstanding activity to celebrate the 49th anniversary of the city's Liberation (March 29, 1975 - March 29, 2024); an opportunity to expand international exchange and cooperation in the fields of culture, tourism and religion.

Vice Chairman Cuong acknowledged and appreciated the responsible preparation of the all-level authorities in organising the Avalokiteśvara festival in 2024. At the same time, he said that this is a religious festival, a national intangible heritage, but associated with the city's festival events.

Therefore, it must be organised in a diverse, professional, and safe manner to attract and create conditions for tourists and people from all walks of life to participate in creating and enjoying culture. He also requested the organising committee and relevant agencies to promote a sense of responsibility to do well in the organisation work.

In addition, heed should be paid to researching appropriate space arrangements for opening and closing ceremonies and crowded activities, coordinating with the Da Nang Tourism Association and the Da Nang Events Association to advise or participate in a number of activities to create diversity, increase the experience of residents and tourists and reduce pressure on the city budget.

This year, the festival is expected to take place for 5 days, from March 25 to 29 at the Avalokiteśvara Pagoda campusi in Hoa Hai Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District and neighbouring streets.
