The Da Nang Department of Culture and Sports coordinated with the municipal Department of Education and Training to organise the awards ceremony of the 2023 Da Nang Reading Culture Ambassador Contest on Saturday.

Since its official launch in May, a sum of about 48,000 entries from all primary, junior and senior high school pupils citywide were submitted to the contest’s organsiers, an increase of nearly 10,000 entries compared to 2022.

On this basis, the education sector selected 345 outstanding entries to send to the municipal-level Board of Examiners to find the best quality ones.

As a result, the contest’s organising board awarded prizes to the 28 most outstanding contestants. Among them, 4 contestants won the Da Nang Reading Culture Ambassador prizes of VND6 million each. Meanwhile, 24 contestants took the Da Nang Reading Culture Prize of VND3 million each.

In addition, three collective prizes went to schools with many participants, and three others to schools with the most winners. Each of the schools received a bookcase worth VND5 million.
