The Da Nang Department of Construction has made a proposal to gather decorative dragon mascot models and a number of miniatures serving Tet 2024 at a 2.8ha vacant land lot at the corner of the Vo Van Kiet and Vo Nguyen Giap streets in Son Tra District after the end of the Tet service period.

At the same time, the unit has coordinated with relevant units to create a preliminary design plan to build a temporary Dragon Park at the abovementioned land.

The purpose is to ensure landscape architecture requirements and create a new tourist check-in point, accompanied by public utility services such as toilets, food kiosks, photography and printing service kiosks, an outdoor stage, an operating room, and a permanent guard house, in order to serve people and tourists.

The construction of the temporary Dragon Park comes from socialised funds, so the Department is in need of active support from businesses, contributing to prolonging the "spring days" in the city and promoting the development of local tourism.

Also according to the municipal Department of Construction, for the decoration of a 5m-high Ly Dynasty-style dragon statue made of Bat Trang ceramic on the T-Shaped Bridge opposite the building at 42 Bach Dang Street, the city leaders have a policy of continuing to maintain the decorative spot until the end of 2024 until a solemn, suitable location is chosen to install a permanent display.
