A dancesport competition was held in Da Nang's Hai Chau District on Saturday to celebrate the 114^th anniversary of International Women's Day (March 8, 1910 - March 8, 2024) and 78 years of Viet Nam Sports Day (March 27, 1946 - March 27, 2024).

During the competition, graceful dance performances on Latin music by women from 13 wards and 8 trade unions of schools in Hai Chau District created a vibrant and joyful atmosphere, attracting hundreds of members and people.

The competition was a playground to motivate and encourage each unit to establish and maintain sports models through dance and fitness activities. At the same time, it stimulated the movement of physical training - sports and entertainment in the locality, and enriched the cultural and spiritual life of local women.

On the occasion, the Hai Chau District chapter of the Da Nang Women's Union and the district's People's Procuracy awarded funding for the 'Godmother' programme to 13 orphaned and disadvantaged pupils with VND1.5 million each.
