The “The Ultimate Flashmob Showdown 2024” dance competition themed ‘Dreams, Youthful Years and Youth’ took place at a public park west of Da Nang’s Dragon Bridge on Friday evening .

The event was jointly organised by the municipal Youth Union, the Youth Association and the Greenwich Da Nang University.  

Its purpose was to create a playground for the youth in the city to interact, entertain, show off their talents, and contribute to forming a positive lifestyle. At the same time, it created a vibrant atmosphere along the banks of the Han River to attract more locals and tourists.

According to the competition’s organisers, the preliminary rounds are organised on the evenings of March 22 and 29, with a total of 28 modern dance performances by teams from 27 senior high schools, continuing education centres, and vocational education establishments across the city.

All the performances are elaborately choreographed with modern music, bringing exciting atmosphere to serve the entertainment needs of locals and visitors. The 10 best performances will be selected for the final round which is scheduled to take place on the evening of April 5.

Deputy Secretary of the municipal Youth Union cum Chairman of the local Youth Association Nguyen Ba Duan said that the competition aimed to enhance cultural and artistic exchange activities among young people, thereby creating a positive trend that spreads among local students and young people.
