The chapter of the Da Nang Women's Union in Thanh Khe District organised the third Singing Contest for Thanh Khe Women on Thursday to celebrate the 114^th anniversary of International Women's Day (March 8, 1910 - March 8, 2024) and the 1,984^th anniversary of the Hai Ba Trung (Trung Sisters)'s uprising.

The contest had 20 musical performances from members of 10 wards and women's clubs across the district. These were carefully selected performances through the preliminary rounds held in wards from February 1 - 26.

The songs at the contest praised the homeland and the country, and honoured the virtues of Vietnamese women, thereby arousing the spirit of solidarity, patriotism, and desire to develop a prosperous country.

At the same time, the contest contributed to spreading images of association activities to attract the participation of female members and build traditional cultural and educational life among women of all classes.
