Held from April 10 - 12, this year’s event features a range of cultural and sports activities such as a folk painting competition, a folk culture festival, a five-fruit tray decoration competition, an arts competition, a ‘ao dai’ show, a fashion show, and folk games of tug of war, stick pushing, and sack jumping relay race.

Interestingly, visitors to the ongoing festival have the opportunity to experience folk cuisine, visit booths introducing products of female entrepreneurs, and cheer for the ‘Book stacking and presentation of artistic book models’ competition.

The aforementioned activities aim to bring people many fascinating experiences on the journey to discover culture, and connect and preserve the core values of Vietnamese people.

Also at the opening ceremony of the festival on Wednesday, the festival's organisers launched a photo contest entitled "The beauty of Hai Chau Village Communal House Festival 2024", aimed at preserving beautiful photos of the festival, thereby contributing to spreading the traditional cultural features of Hai Chau District.

Amateur and professional photographers can send their photos to the contest via email: clbnhiepanhdanang.dpc@gmail.com from now until April 15.

A first, a second, 2 third and 5 consolation prizes will be given to outstanding entries from April 25 to May 7.
