This is the first time Da Nang has decorated the abovementioned locations during the summer. Many decorative items once used for floral displays and lighting decorations during previous Tet festivals are being reused to decorate the flower gardens.
In the public park south of the Dragon Bridge, opposite the Museum of Cham Sculpture, workers are building a flower bed with card bricks surrounding a check-in models ‘2024’ and ‘Danang Fantasticity’ - a colorful and symbolic of the local tourism.
Also, colorful butterfly and daisy flowers are grown, whilst a decorative lighting system for the flowers are installed.
At the campus north of the tail of the Dragon Bridge, opposite the Viet Nam Television Center in the Central - Central Highlands region VTV 8, the construction of five clusters of flowers is underway. In particular, there are a 29m-long, 2m-wide cluster along the railing of the Han River; a cluster of 6-petal pinwheels with each petal being a different flower species and colour; and three round-shaped flower beds with 3 different species and colours per bed.
The highlight of the floral displays and lighting decorations for the forthcoming holiday and the summer tourist season is the 100m-long, 15m-wide flower garden in front of the T-shaped bridge opposite 42 Bach Dang street. The garden will feature more than 8,600 flowers of all kinds such as roses, orange butterflies, colorful butterflies, periwinkles, daisies, guavas, marigolds, and red cockscombs.
Besides, many types of flowers are hung on 10 iron frames in the shape of trees. Two flower boats and 2 tall wooden boxes are reused from the previous Tet floral decoration model.
