With more than 100 images, documents, and artifacts on display, the exhibition features three parts: "Dien Bien Phu - Historical rendezvous", "The 56-day and night battle that shook the earth", and "Quang Nam - Da Nang joins efforts with Dien Bien".
The displayed images, documents, and artifacts take visitors back to the arduous and fierce days of the resistance war against the French colonialists, thereby helping them clearly understand the contributions of the army and people of Quang Nam - Da Nang on the battlefield of inter-region 5, not allowing the French to send troops to support the Dien Bien Phu base group.
The event offers an opportunity to honour, express gratitude and commemorate General Vo Nguyen Giap, Commander-in-chief of the Viet Nam People’s Army and also the direct commander of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign.
The exhibition runs until May 17.
