The fireworks teams from China and Finland have been selected to compete in the final night of the ongoing Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2024, the festival’s organising board announced on Sunday.

According to the organising board, the jury found it difficult to choose the two teams for the final as all the participating eight teams have shown endless creativity in their eye-catching fireworks performances which left a deep impression on the audience.
Over the four dramatic nights of competition, each team showed off their own techniques and identities, creating performances that were not too far apart in quality.
This is considered an "unbelievable" result at DIFFs, because Finland and China were two competitors who just met at the final qualifying round on the evening of June 29.
The confrontation between these two pyrotechnic superpowers is considered an "early finale” and has now come true.

This result is based on a set of strict scoring criteria, including originality; design ideas; adaptation to the theme of competition night; the variety of effects and intensity of colours; the perfect harmony between background music and impressive lighting effects; the ending and overall impression of the performance; and the emotions and assessments of the jury.
Musician Nguyen Duc Trinh, a member of the jury, shared "We feel sorry for other very strong and creative teams like Italy or France, but we cannot bring all the teams to the final".
According to the draw result, the Chinese team will perform first, and the Finnish team's display will close the DIFF 2024.
Immediately after the announcement ceremony, Sun Group continued to invite the two winning teams back to Viet Nam, and provide fireworks, and technical and logistical support, for them to prepare for their shows in the grand finale of DIFF 2024.

This will be a huge challenge for the teams, but they are extremely excited".
