On Saturday, the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2024 officially opened under the highly-inviting theme ‘Made in Unity - Global Connection - Radiant five continents’. The opening night was a competition between the host team Da Nang - Viet Nam and the French team.

In attendance were Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong,along with leaders of national ministries, departments, cities and provinces, and international guests.

Also being present at this event were Da Nang Party Committee Secretary cum Head of the city's National Assembly deputies’ delegation Nguyen Van Quang, and Da Nang People's Committee Chairman Le Trung Chinh.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Chairman Chinh emphasised that the DIFF 2024 aims to convey a message about the connection between worldwide countries, the harmony between people and nature towards a peaceful, civilised and prosperous world.

Along with the strong development of the country, not only does Da Nang have the attractiveness of geographical location and natural landscape, but it also aims for perfection in policies, professionalism, creativity and the determination of the managerial personnel, intellectuals and workers, maintaining the warm and hospitable characteristics of the city's dwellers. All aim to create an attractive investment environment and a city with its own identity. Those are the values that Da Nang has been building, preserving and cultivating.

The Da Nang administration leader also emphasised: “We also keep in out minds a fact that, to ensure sustainable development, it does not only rely on internal strength, but also requires the attention, kind support and companionship of the national government, and friends at home and abroad as well. With the motto global connection, we hope to continue to receive your support and active cooperation to soon complete the goal of developing Da Nang into a large, smart, creative urban hub that is rich in identity, and together with Viet Nam at large, to be more renowned on the global arena".

The viewing stands are filled with spectators.

With performances by professional fireworks teams from countries around the world, DIFF 2024 also features many accompanying programes with the hope of giving visitors a complete experience of this festival and beautiful Da Nang as a whole.
