Fourth night of DIFF 2024: Space of 'fairy tales' by Han River

The fourth performance night of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2024 took place on Saturday evening, with a competition between two fireworks teams from China and Finland under the theme ‘Made of Fairy Tales’. This was a much-anticipated competition night during this year's DIFF season thanks to the participation of two very strong teams in the global fireworks industry.

In attendance at the event were Da Nang Party Committee Secretary cum Head of the Da Nang delegation of National Assembly deputies Nguyen Van Quang; Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee cum Head of the municipal Party Committee's Organising Board Nguyen Dinh Vinh; Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee cum Chairman of Da Nang People's Committee Le Trung Chinh; Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Council Ngo Xuan Thang; Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee cum Head of DIFF 2024 Organising Committee Tran Chi Cuong.

The fourth performance night depicted fairy tales and legends through skillful lighting and attractive music.

The 1,260 m2 hand-shaped stage is a highlight contributing to the success and attraction of DIFF 2024. Here, vibrant art performances attracted the audience into ‘the world of fairy tales’ space with the diverse in content and art on Saturday evening.

The art show before the fireworks performances started with the song ‘Uncle Cuoi playing on the moon’, composed by the late musician An Thuyen, bringing the audience into the childhood memories of many Vietnamese people with the folk images of Uncle Cuoi, the banyan tree, and the full moon.

Immediately after that, dancers from Da Nang-based Trung Vuong Art Troupe continued to take the audience into the magical world, where there were graceful dances, depicting rich Chinese culture.

Wednesday night also impressed the audience with the hit song ‘Come listen to your mother’s lullaby’ by young musician Hua Kim Tuyen, with a melody that is both modern in electronic music and delicate and seductive through the sound of the typical instrument of Southern amateur folk music.

In addition, while waiting for the Finnish team's fireworks performance, the audience once again reminisced about their childhood through the soundtrack song of ‘Beauty and the beast’ - an excellent Disney animated film.

At the same time, the audience immersed themselves in the powerful, attractive dances through a mashup highlighting the pure white snow space typical of Finland.
