The second night of the ongoing Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2024, themed ‘Made of Natural Wisdom’, on the evening of June 15 will be the encounter between Team Martarello Group S.R.L from Italy, the reigning runner-up of DIFF 2023, and the rookie team Rozzi Fireworks from the US, which promises to bring many surprises to the audience.

Themed ‘Made of Natural Wisdom’, the second night of the ongoing Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2024 on the evening of June 15 will witness a competition between Italy, the reigning runner-up of DIFF 2023, and the rookie team from the US.

Ms. Nancy Rozzi, leader of the fireworks team from the US, shared that they were not too worried about the competition although it was the first time her team took part in the festival.

She revealed her team arrived in Da Nang early to watch the performances of Da Nang - Vietnam and France on the opening night. After that, they designed their own performance with the desire to bring local residents and tourists the most wonderful experiences.

The performance of the US fireworks team will be a story about solidarity among humanity. “We are not too concerned about the results of the competition but just want to bring a very emotional performance to the audience. We want the audience to feel the emotions that the team has designed to integrate music and fireworks on Saturday night" Ms. Nancy shared.

The highlight of the fireworks performance of the US team is music. Through the performance called "Humanity - a bridge between countries", the team wants the audience to enjoy the fireworks to not only feel the light formations but also the harmony with the music. The blending of sounds and music demonstrates the harmonious coexistence of different cultures and contexts.

“We will use many special effects in our performance on the second night. The effects will be concentrated at mid-range and high-range effects on the water" Ms. Nancy expressed.

Meanwhile, the Martarello Group S.R.L fireworks team from Italy is very familiar with the festival. They were champions at DIFF 2017 and 2018, and the runner-up at DIFF 2023, so they know how to bring new and special things to the audience.

Mr. Damiano Baraido, leader of the Martarello Group S.R.L team, remarked that, at this year’s festival, team members are determined to once again conquer the hearts of the audience with captivating stories of fireworks. Inspired by nature and the colours of life, the performance of the Italian team has the theme of “Radiant Universe: Symphony of Light”.

Mr. Damiano Baraido said that when returning to Da Nang, what the whole team felt was the heat of the weather. However, the team still felt the warm welcome of the people of Da Nang.

“Last year, the weather was quite erratic as it was sunny in the morning but rainy in the afternoon. However, this year’s weather seems better. Learning from last year's experience, we consider a safety plan for the fireworks during the installation process. Returning to Da Nang with new energy, we want to convey the colours, music and vitality of nature to the audience and hope to continue to be the team performing at the final night", Mr. Damiano Baraido expressed.

Giving evaluation of the two fireworks teams participating in the second night on Saturday evening, Ms. Nadiah Wong Binti Abdullah, Director of the Global 2000 International Company - a consultant for DIFF 2024, said that It is difficult to say which team is more talented because each team has its own strengths and weaknesses.

In particular, the Italian team has had many years of experience in competing in DIFFs so they can be better prepared for the festival. The US fireworks team has some female members, showcasing the strength of women.

“The competition between the two teams is a competition between young generations from families with a tradition of producing fireworks. Both teams have more than 100 years of experience producing fireworks. Therefore, we think that these are equally talented opponents and will offer very attractive performances" Ms. Nadiah commented.
