Local residents and tourists have many options for fully enjoying dazzling fireworks shows at DIFF 2024 from grandstands to famous bridges, high-rise buildings and cruise ships.

To meet the needs of residents and tourists, DIFF organisers increase the number of seats at grandstands to 10,174 per night.

According to the municipal Department of Tourism, 22 tourist boats, offering more than 2,300 seats, are eligible to serve visitors at DIFF competition nights. Up to now, the number of customers who have booked boat tickets in advance to watch fireworks on the opening night has been about 1,100-1,200, accounting for 45% of the total.

As reported by our reporters, about 200 tickets watching fireworks on the opening night on two Han Giang cruise ships were sold out.

Mr. Dang Hoa, Vice Chairman of the Waterway Tourism Transport Association, the owner of two Han Giang cruise ships, said that over the years, tourists have known about the service of watching fireworks from cruise ships, so many customers order this service quite early. Accordingly, tickets to watch fireworks on cruise ships range between VND800,000 and VND1 million/ person. Visitors will be provided with a meal, take a sightseeing tour on the Han River at night, and watch fireworks.

“To better serve tourists, cruise ships have carefully prepared services as well as ensured waterway safety. We have increased the number of staff and provided professional skills for them in order to bring the best experiences to our customers" Mr. Dang Hoa shared.

Besides, hotels and high-rise buildings along both banks of the Han River, plus nearby grandstands, are widely sought after by tourists.

As noted by our reporters, many high-rise buildings offer tickets of VND150,000 - VND250,000 each depending on location, to watch fireworks with a drink and a seat.

This year, local travel businesses have launched special tours for tourists to choose to explore the city's unique tourism products, including Da Nang Food Tour, and tours to explore Son Tra Peninsula.

Also, there are a train tour connecting Da Nang and Ha Noi, named "Sea Paradise is Calling", launched by the Viet Adventure Travel Company Limited; a train tour connecting Da Nang and Hue City “Central Heritage Journey” by the Vietravel Company; and a Da Nang - Hoi An street food tour by the Viet Nam Travelmart JSC.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thien, Deputy Director of the Hai Van Cat International Travel Company, said that the closer the DIFF 2024 opening ceremony gets, the more tourists' interest in this event increases. Reservation and ticket booking services are more bustling than previous times because the service packages launched by businesses have deeply discounted prices. Travel businesses can also easily plan tours and provide services to customers.

In the city, there are about 1,285 accommodation establishments providing 45,672 rooms in total, an increase of 105 and 3,672 in the number of accommodation establishments and rooms respectively compared to DIFF 2023.

Of the figures, the number of 4-5 star tourist accommodation establishments is 103 with 20,282 rooms (accounting for 44.4% of the total), and that of 3-star and equivalent or less are about 1,182 establishments with 25,390 rooms.

Currently, the room occupancy rate at accommodation facilities on the opening night of DIFF 2024 is estimated to reach at 65-67%, whilst that at coastal and riverside accommodation facilities is expected to reach over 80% (equivalent to 2023).

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hoai An, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Tourism, informed that the department has requested directors and owners of accommodation establishments in the city to ensure service quality, the quantity and quality of human resources, and order security and safety during the process of welcoming and serving guests during DIFF 2024.

At the same time, the accommodation facilities are asked to fully display information about service prices, and policies and conditions for ordering and using services for guests.

Notably, hotlines of the Da Nang Tourist Support Center (0236.3550.111) and the city’s Tourism Rapid Response Team (0919.247.009) are offered to tourists to report any violations relating to the unreasonable increases in the prices of goods and services, and food safety and hygiene during the festival.
