SHB Da Nang were given a cash-prize of VND2 billion from the Viet Nam Football Federation and a promotion ticket to the V-League next season after being crowned the Gold Star V.League 2 champions at the city’s Hoa Xuan Stadium on Sunday evening.

The home team played out a goalless home draw with PVF-CAND in the penultimate round of the Gold Star V.League 2 for the 2023-2024 season yesterday.

With the result, SHB Da Nang took the lead in the rankings with 44 points, followed by PVF-CAND with 34 points and Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc with 32 points.

Because they won the championship and were promoted to professional rank ahead of three rounds, and played the last match of the season at home, the organisers decided to award the championship trophy to the SHB Da Nang team ahead of a round.

Meanwhile, PVF-CAND and Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc will compete for second place in the table and a promotion play-off ticket in the final round on June 29.

Accordingly, Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc and PVF-CAND will host SHB Da Nang and Dong Nai at home respectively.

On the occasion, the Da Nang People's Committee gave VND200 million to SHB Da Nang as a reward.
