An art exchange programme between Da Nang and Daegu City, South Korea took place at the Nguyen Hien Dinh Tuong (classical drama) Theatre on Thursday evening.

Themed "Full of Friendship", the event was jointly organized by the Da Nang Union of Literature and Arts Associations and the Daegu City Union of Culture and Arts Associations.

The programme featured a total of 13 performances, divided into 2 parts: national music and music, with a variety of genres from dancing and singing, Tuong excerpts, tableaus, solos and musical instrument performances by Da Nang and Daegu artistes.

Notable among the five performances by Da Nang artistes were a flute solo performance called "The Voice of the Forest" by People's Artist Trinh Manh Hung and a Tuong excerpt "Change Dat Ky's Soul” by Nguyen Hien Dinh Tuong Theatre’s artistes.

Meanwhile, the artistes from the Daegu Union of Cultural and Arts Associations brought to the audience many traditional folk songs, and unique musical instrument solos and ensembles.

The art exchange programme was part of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Da Nang Union of Literature and Art Associations and the Daegu Union of Culture and Art Associations.

Previously, in October 2023, a troupe of Da Nang artists took part in art exchange performances and an exhibition of art photos in Daegu City.
