The 9^th edition of the Viet Nam - Japan Festival in 2024 is slated to take place at Da Nang’s East Sea Park from July 4 - 7.

The event is jointly organised by the municipal Department of Foreign Affairs and the Consulate General of Japan in Da Nang.

The highlight of this year's festival will be the ‘Da Nang - Japan conference: Prospects for cooperation after the two countries upgrade their relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for Peace and Prosperity in Asia and the World’; and a seminar to promote Japanese tourism in Da Nang.

Also, there will be a number of captivating activities, including an exhibition featuring remarkable achievements of the Da Nang - Japan cooperation, a display of typical products of the two sides, the Bon Odori Festival, a tea ceremony, a football exchange festival between Vietnamese and Japanese youth, Japanese baseball, Japanese wrestling demonstration, and a Cosplay contest.

Additionally, the nighttime cultural and artistic exchange programme will be organised during the festival, featuring the participation of Vietnamese and Japanese artists.

The annual Viet Nam - Japan Festival in Da Nang aims to promote and deepen the cooperative relationship between Da Nang and Japanese localities and partners, thereby contributing to promoting the image and culture of Viet Nam and Japan to local people, and domestic and foreign tourists.
