In order to create a joyful and exciting atmosphere for local residents and tourists to celebrate the 79^th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19), and the National Day of Viet Nam (September 2), Hai Chau District is organising many exciting and meaningful cultural and sports activities.

Accordingly, the district's Cultural - Sports Centre is  organising cultural, artistic, physical education and sports programmes at the APEC Park, Bach Dang Walking Street and at some parks in the district’s wards. Notably, the art performance ‘Proud Melody’ will take place at 7:30 p.m. on August 31 on beautiful Bach Dang Street.

The programme will demonstrate the position, stature and great historical values of the country. At the same time, it affirms the leadership role of the Communist Party of Viet Nam and the great President Ho Chi Minh in the cause of national liberation as well as great achievements and historical significance of the country in 79 years of building and defending the Fatherland.

Besides, it helps to educate the tradition of patriotism, the will of self-reliance, self-improvement, the desire for peace of the nation; promoting the spirit of solidarity of the Vietnamese people, expressing deep gratitude to the generations who sacrificed for the national independence and unification.

Mr. Tran Van Manh, the Director of the Hai Chau District Culture - Sports Centre, said that the above-mentioned highlight art programme will recreate beautiful images of “Uncle Ho's soldiers” and a space of heroic epics, depict the cultural and historical values of patriotism, the indomitable will of many generations of heroic Vietnamese people in the struggle, construction and protection of the independence of the Fatherland. At the same time, it is a source of inspiration for today's generations to overcome difficulties and challenges, and join hands to protect our country sustainably, powerfully, and eternally.

In addition to cultural and artistic activities, there are also physical education and sports activities to contribute to improving the quality of physical education and sports in schools, as well as in the community.

The Hai Chau District Culture and Sports Centre is partnering with units, clubs, associations and organisations to organize many creative and connecting activities such as ‘Childhood melodies’, a fair selling agricultural goods and ornamental plants art in 2024, a street art dance performances, Da Nang Open Dance and Sports Club Tournament, Hai Chau Open Pickleball Tournament from mid-August to the present.

Coming to Da Nang on this occasion, visitors can also enjoy cultural activities that are deeply imbued with unique local characteristics such as ‘Bai Choi’, Tuong (classic drama) performances and street music. Along Bach Dang Walking Street, there are a ‘Random dance Kpop" programme, costume display combined with wind music performances of Vietnamese and international musical works, ‘Ao dai’ (national Vietnamese costume) art performances, jetski and flyboard underwater art performances; free-of-charge movie screenings at the Le Do Cinema.

During these days, streets in Hai Chau District have been brilliantly decorated with flags, flowers, banners and signboards to celebrate the country’s historical events.
