The Hoa Vang District People's Committee has just issued a plan to organise a photo contest themed "Hoa Vang's Fragrance".

The purpose of the contest is to record beautiful images of the district's socio-economic development, national defence and security achievements in the 2021-2025 term; and famous landscapes, nature, and daily life of Hoa Vang people; in a bid to promote the district's tourism, and serve as illustrations for publications and background images for the electronic information portal and display for the upcoming Party Congress of the district in 2025.

The photo contest is open to professional and amateur photographers at both home and abroad. The prize structure will include a first prize of VND 10 million in cash, two second prizes of VND 7 million each, three third prizes of VND 5 million each, and five consolation prizes of VND 2 million each. Photos selected for exhibition will be paid VND 500,000 each.

Authors with many photos entered the judging round, the organisers will only select a maximum of 2 excellent works to award prizes. The contest is slated to be launched from January 7 - 30, 2025.
