Contest to learn about homeland's sea and islands in 2024
The High Command of the Coast Guard Region 2 in collaboration with the Da Nang Party Committee's Mass Mobilisation Board organised the "I love my homeland's sea and islands" contest for pupils in Ngu Hanh Son District on Saturday.

The contest was organised in the form of multiple choice tests on knowledge about Viet Nam's seas and islands, the Law of the Sea of Vietnam (2012), Law on the Viet Nam Coast Guard, harmful effects of drugs, ways to prevent and combat drugs, current school violence, and tasks, functions, traditions of the Coast Guard force.
The contest had the participation of 60 pupils representing more than 4,800 pupils from Le Loi, Huynh Ba Chanh, Nguyen Binh Khiem and Tran Dai Nghia junior high schools across Ngu Hanh Son District.
In the end, a first, a second, a third and a consolation prizes were given to outstanding contestants. The first prize went to Tran Thi Thanh Quy, class 9/1, Huynh Ba Chanh Junior High School.
Also at the contest, the High Command of Coast Guard Region 2 awarded 12 prizes for the outstanding entries of the video contest with the theme “The sea and islands of the Fatherland and the Coast Guard soldiers”, as well as 20 bicycles and 80 scholarships to pupils who overcame difficulties to excel in their studies.
