Da Nang People’s Committee Chairman Le Trung Chinh held a meeting on Wednesday to congratulate Miss International 2024 Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy.

Praising her great efforts at the beauty pageant, Chairman Chinh voiced his hope that Thuy will act as a bridge to promote the beautiful images of women, landscape, culture and cuisine of Da Nang in particular and Viet Nam in general to international friends. She will be an exemplary for the young generation to strive to build a dynamic, modern and developed city.

He expressed his wish that the University of Foreign Language Studies under the University of Da Nang, the Youth Union, agencies, units, and families will continue to care for and accompany Miss International Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy to successfully complete all tasks.

For her part, Miss International Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy expressed her joy at receiving the support, attention, and congratulations from the leaders of Da Nang. She said that she will try and devote all her efforts to spreading the culture and beauty of Vietnamese people in general and Da Nang people in particular to friends from the four corners of the earth.

On the occasion, Chairman Chinh awarded a Certificate of Merit to Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy in recognition of her outstanding achievement in the Miss International 2024 contest.

Also in the morning of the same day, the University of Foreign Language Studies commended and rewarded student Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy for winning the Miss International 2024.

Accordingly, the Director of Da Nang University, the Viet Nam Student Association of the city, the Youth Union organisation of the Da Nang University, and the University of Foreign Language Studies ​​awarded student Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy for her outstanding achievements in social activities, surpassing 75 contestants worldwide to win the Miss International 2024.

In addition, the University of Foreign Language Studies presented a full scholarship for the master's programme at the school to Thanh Thuy.

To mark the occasion, the Sen Vang Company and Miss Thanh Thuy gave scholarships, totaling VND 30 million, to students with difficult circumstances studying at the University of Foreign Language Studies.

Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy was born in 2002 in Da Nang. She is currently studying at the University of Foreign Language Studies with the English major.
