Da Nang to organise 2024 installation art programme 'Memory'
Following the success of the series of installation art programme such as ‘March Sunlight, ‘Countryside Painting’, ‘Save our sea’, ‘Mother's Doi quang ganh’ (two baskets hung from either end of a bamboo bole) and the ‘Time Window’, the Da Nang Cultural - Cinema Centre will held the 2024 installation art programme themed ‘Memory’ from November 29 to 1 on the northern sidewalk, the eastern end of the ‘Rong’ (Dragon) Bridge, Tran Hung Dao Street, Son Tra District, Da Nang.

Inspired by famous time-honoured fishing villages with a long history such as Nam O, Man Thai and Son Tra, through the talent and skillful, creative hands of artists, the ‘Memory’ evokes the images of fishing villages that have existed through many ups and downs on the land of Da Nang.
The work carries the colours of rivers, fishing nets, the sea and sky of Da Nang, evoking the flow of memories of the rustic early days of fishermen's lives. ‘Memories’ also depicts the traditional cultural values and characteristics of the fishing village, and the flow of ‘Memories’ is in the flow of Vietnamese culture, which is also the flow of bright colours in the outstanding development process of of the city over the past years.
The installation art programme is an activity in a series of cultural activities - festivals on both banks of the Han River carried out by the Da Nang Cultural - Cinema Center with the desire to diversify the types of culture, entertainment arts to serve residents and tourists in Da Nang; thereby, conveying positive messages and contributing to creating good impressions of the livable city - Da Nang.
