Lai Chau Tourism - Culture Week opens in Da Nang
The Lai Chau Tourism - Culture Week officially opened in Da Nang on Friday evening. At the opening ceremony, 100 actors and artisans of Thai, Mong, Ha Nhi and Lu ethnic groups from community-based tourism villages performed a unique art programme featuring the traditional culture of Lai Chau ethnic groups.

During the event, local residents and tourists enjoyed cultural exchange activities such as Gong, Xoe and bamboo pole dance; Then singing and Tinh gourd lute of the Thai ethnic group; the traditional technique of using beeswax to create artistic patterns on handloom fabric clothing; Khen (panpipe) dance of Mong ethnic group; traditional brocade weaving of the Lu ethnic people; and the costume of the Ha Nhi ethnic people.

Visitors to the event had the opportunity to buy OCOP products, typical rural agricultural products, and craft village products; as well as admire hundreds of photos featuring the beauty of land, nature, culture and people of Lai Chau.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Standing Vice Chairman of Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee Tong Thanh Hai said that Lai Chau Tourism - Culture Week in Da Nang hoped to introduce and promote the land, people, potential and advantages of the province to the people and tourists in the beach city, opening up opportunities to develop tourism products and effectively exploiting the tourism strengths of the two localities.
