Over 630,000 students sit for university exams
More than 630,000 high school graduates nationwide sat for the first wave of university entrance examination on July 4.
Around 2 million high school students have registered for this year’s exams which will last until July 16.
In Ha Noi, which is home to many prestigious universities, police have been mobilised to be on duty at key intersections near exam venues to ensure no traffic jam happens. They are aided by 145 mobile patrol teams during rush hours to smooth traffic flow.
Young Volunteer groups are active at 20 hot spots of traffic jams to give a helping hand in response to traffic congestion.
To meet a sudden increase in transport demands during the exams, the National Steering Committee for Traffic Safety has asked bus stations and transport businesses to deploy more buses and offer the best services for the candidates.
