Between 2005 and 2012, IDG ASEAN honoured 123 CIOs and CSOs.  In 2013, 20 outstanding people from ASEAN member countries have won CIO awards and 8 the CSOs.  Amongst them are 9 CIOs and 1 CSO from Viet Nam.

In the recent years, the city’s Department of Home Affairs has helped the municipal People’s Committee to develop software applications in local management work.  Most notably, the Department has witnessed positive results in applying a software to manage the records of local government officials and employees, and to assess their working results.  This has helped the Department to improve local human resources management and administrative reforms.

The above-mentioned software is one of the IT projects which has helped Director Ngu to win this year’s CIO Awards.
