On Tuesday, Da Nang's representative office in Japan held a meeting in the city to discuss the pre-feasibility study of a project to save energy by using simple environmental monitoring equipment and promoting environmental education.

Based on the findings and recommendations resulting from the project’s research process, Japanese experts will help Da Nang to become a typical energy-saving city in the near future.

The initial survey was conducted on 10 of the city’s businesses and construction works.  All of them have applied methods to save energy, such as managing the temperature of air conditioners and installing LED lighting systems.  However, not enough attention has been paid to using environmental monitoring equipment to manage oxidation burning and to control air temperatures.  The survey work will continue on more industrial plants in the city.
