FPT Software will deploy the solution on Galaxy Tab 3 of Samsung and 3G connection of MobiFone.

With the DMS Mobility solution, businesses can manage their distribution channels effectively by equipping each salesperson with a tablet having 3G connection, global positioning system and camera.

Relevant information of products at each sales point will be updated in real time when salespersons are there. Besides, photos of product display of distributors will also be kept updated. Supervisors can know locations and activities of all salespersons thanks to digital maps.

In addition, the solution enables businesses to manage the inventories and consumption volumes of stores, have suitable production plans and manage debt collection.

Hoang Nam Tien, chairman of FPT Software, said that the use of tablets would remove many manual tasks and provide salespersons with more time to work with customers. The information load that needs to be processed will be bigger but done faster and more effectively, he added.

“The participation of Samsung and MobiFone will make the DMS Mobility solution have a reasonable cost,” Tien said.

The solution is being deployed at the distribution system of the confectionery producer Kinh Do. Others like Hau Giang Pharmaceutical, Suntory Pepsico, Ajinomoto, Trung Nguyen and Tan Hiep Phat are also using the solution.

At the signing ceremony on Tuesday, FPT Software, Samsung and MobiFone said they were working on other solutions such as retail management (Retails Mobility) and customer relationship management (CRM Mobility) for businesses in the sectors of fast-moving consumer goods, pharmaceutical, banking and insurance. These solutions will soon be introduced.
