11,928 full-time and continuing-education students in Da Nang are taking their high school graduation exams between 2 and 4 June.

This morning the candidates started their exams with a literature test, and they took either physics or history tests this afternoon.  Tomorrow they will sit tests in mathematics in the morning, and either chemistry or geography in the afternoon.  On Wednesday, the last day of the exams, they will take either foreign languages or biology tests in the morning.

Of these above-mentioned subjects, mathematics, literature, history and geography are tested by the constructed-response format, whilst physics, chemistry, biology and foreign languages are multiple-choice.

In literature, the candidates complete a reading comprehension and an essay, whilst in foreign languages the test comprises written and multiple-choice parts.
