On Monday afternoon, the Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman, Mr Phung Tan Viet, and the Deputy General Director of the Viet Nam Post and Telecommunications Group (VNPT), Mr Pham Duc Long, entered into a cooperation agreement on information technology (IT) and communications for the 2014-2020 period.

Under the agreement, Da Nang and VNPT will together develop and provide better services in IT infrastructure, applications and communications.  In addition, they will both conduct surveys and make a comprehensive assessment of the current status of these services in the city, and the demands of local residents.

VNPT have pledged to provide the best possible services for the city to meet local demand, whilst the Da Nang authorities will create favourable conditions for VNPT to build the IT infrastructure and transfer its IT and communications technologies to the city.
