Representatives from the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training have recently conducted inspections of many pre-schools across the city.  They reported that all of Da Nang’s 5-year-olds have accessed universal pre-school education programmes.

The inspections revealed that 4 public pre-schools at district level and 8 at ward and commune levels have been equipped with the KidSmart (Young Explorer) Early Learning Programme software which helps children stimulate their creativity, critical thinking, problem solving and community integration.   In addition, the facilities at local pre-schools have been upgraded well, and infectious disease prevention and control has been implemented effectively.  In particular, all senior teachers at the local public pre-schools have enjoyed seniority allowances.
