Last Friday, Da Nang’s College of Foreign Languages (CFL) celebrated the 10th birthday of its Korean language teaching group within its Japanese-Korean-Thai languages faculty.

Since its establishment in 2005, a total of 350 students have so far been awarded Bachelor degrees in the Korean language.  Many students have made outstanding achievements and earned notable prizes from many national and international competitions over the past decade.

The majority of the teaching staff have been trained abroad.  Currently, 4 lecturers are studying for Masters degrees and 2 for Doctorates in South Korea.

To date, CFL has signed Memoranda of Understanding on educational cooperation and cultural exchange with the Korean universities of Chung-Ang, Pusan National, Myongji and Daegu.  In addition, special attention has been paid to cooperating with Korean organisations and businesses in order to improve the quality of education for the local students.
