On Wednesday, representatives from over 100 businesses in Da Nang attended a seminar on cyber security solutions.  The event was jointly organised by Cisco Systems Viet Nam and Secure Viet Nam Co Ltd.

According to Cisco, the websites of 95% of the city’s large businesses are now at high risk of cyber attacks and malicious malware installations by hackers.

Over recent years, the central region, and Da Nang in particular, has seen an increasing number of local travel agencies, hotels and financial services companies, all of which have their own customer databases.  However, their systems are highly likely to be targeted by hackers.

Cisco experts stressed the urgent need for local businesses to use effective cyber security solutions.  These will help them to monitor their Internet access management as well as ensure web security, safe online financial transactions, and smoother access their client databases.  These solutions will help local businesses avoid unexpected losses due to cyber attacks.

Secure Viet Nam Co Ltd has used the Cisco Advanced Malware Protection solution, and it is willing to assist businesses in Da Nang, and the central region as a whole, in effectively preventing attacks by hackers.
