Recruitment requirements of foreign kindergarten teachers lowered
Published: January 01, 2015
The Government has abolished a regulation requiring foreign teachers to have at least five years of experience in order to work at foreign-invested kindergartens and general education schools as well as facilities offering short-term training courses.
The new stipulation came in Clause 6, Article 31 of a recently-issued Decree revising Decree 73/2012/ND-CP on foreign cooperation and investment in education.
Under the revised decree, foreign teachers and lecturers at foreign-invested vocational schools and tertiary establishments must have at least five years of experience besides meeting other requirements stipulated by the law.
