Viet Nam loses 399.5 million USD in computer virus attacks last year

Viet Nam lost almost 8.5 trillion VND (399.5 million USD) in computer virus attacks in 2014, according to the BKAV network security company.

The losses were calculated based on incomes of the users and the time their works interrupted due to computer breakdowns.
BKAV predicts that dangerous virus codes and links continue to be a concern for mobile phone and computer users in 2015.
Viet Nam now has at least 6.98 million operating computers.
According to the US’s Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), cybercrime drains about 445 billion USD from businesses all over the world each year.
