On Tuesday, the Da Nang People’s Committee (PC) and the Government Cypher Committee under the Vietnamese Defence Ministry entered into a cooperation agreement for ensuring information security for the city’s e-government system.  In attendance at the signing ceremony were municipal PC Vice Chairman Phung Tan Viet and Government Cypher Committee Deputy Head Nguyen Dang Dao.

Under the agreement, the Government Cypher Committee will monitor information security for the city’s e-government system as well as conduct surveys and assess its information technology (IT) system.  In addition, network security logs will be set up to track security-related information on computer systems and support communications systems.  Numerous training courses in information security will be provided for those involved in the city’s IT security management.
