On Wednesday, the Da Nang Department of Information and Communications signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Intel Security about ensuring security for the city’s information technology (IT) infrastructure.  The signing was witnessed by municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman Phung Tan Viet.

Under the MoU, Intel Security will provide the city with an Endpoint Protection Suite and build a security lab in the city in order to establish a cyber security structure and evaluate IT applications in developing the city’s e-government.  In addition, Intel Security will offer training courses for users of the Endpoint Protection Suite.

Previously, the Intel Corporation has helped Da Nang to access and operate its green data centre for cloud computing, which allowed the city to develop an energy-saving and environmentally-friendly e-government system.
