According to the Da Nang People's Committee (PC)’s 2014 ranking of the municipal index for information technology (IT) application, the Lien Chieu District authorities topped the list at district-level.  It was followed by the districts of Hai Chau, Thanh Khe, Hoa Vang, Cam Le, Ngu Hanh Son and Son Tra.

As for the city-based central-government agencies, the Da Nang Customs Department topped the year’s index, followed by the Taxation Department, the city's branch of the State Treasury, the municipal Police Department, the Statistical Bureau, and the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department.
