The Hacktahon-IBM 2015 Contest for junior college and university students across Da Nang took place at the city’s Software Park on Quang Trung Street on Sunday.  The event was jointly organised by the municipal Department of Information and Communications and IBM Viet Nam.

The HKT team from the Duy Tan University (DTU) took 1^st prize for their NutriLife support software to meet the demands of nutrition fact seekers, whilst the Easier team from the University of Technology came 2^nd for their IsOpen software. 

The ‘Trang Tron’ (Full Moon) team from the University of Education, and the Lucess team from the DTU shared 3^rd place for their entries named ‘Sick Be Together’ and ‘DNGuider’ respectively.

The Department’s Deputy Director, Mr Nguyen Quang Thanh, said that IBM Viet Nam would provide financial assistance for the 4 winning teams to perfect their products, preparing them to compete at the final round of the National Hackathon IBM 2015 Contest which will be held in the near future.
