The Da Nang People’s Committee recently issued plans for publicising 2 national campaigns which aim to build a learning society.

The campaigns are 'Building a Learning Society between 2012 and 2020' and 'Illiteracy Eradication towards 2020' which were both approved by the Prime Minister in 2013.  They aim to raise awareness of creating a society of learning amongst local pupils, university students and government employees.

News items and articles relating to the campaigns will be publicised in specialised categories set up by the municipal radio and television stations, and in the printed and online editions of local press agencies.

Banners about the 2 campaigns will also be displayed on the official websites of agencies, departments, associations and socio-political organisations across the city.

Special attention will be paid to publicising the campaigns on radio broadcasting systems in local districts, wards and communes, and promoting oral dissemination and the distribution of documents, leaflets, brochures, flyers and others.

Publicity about the campaigns will be added to training programmes at local schools and also introduced at conferences and seminars organised by local agencies and departments.  Heed will be paid to honouring local individuals and groups for their active involvement in building a learning society in their locations.
