On Wednesday, the Software Development Centre (SDC) at the University of Da Nang officially released the Smart Book, a mobile device used to support teaching and learning programmes.  The device was developed on the basis of Information Technology solutions from Microsoft Viet Nam and with hardware assistance from ASUS Viet Nam.

The Smart Book was introduced by Microsoft Viet Nam during the working visit of the leaders of the Microsoft Corporation to Viet Nam in March.

The Smart Book’s hardware was created based on the ASUS Transformer Book, a 10.1-inch ultraportable.  Therefore, the SDC’s gadget is compact, lightweight and beautifully designed.

This newly-unveiled device combines features of both a tablet and a laptop.  In addition, it effectively applies the Microsoft Office 365 solution and the Azure flexible cloud computing platform.  This will help to bring benefits for online courses and conferences using Skype for Business, a unified communications platform.  The new gadget also features the useful apps of OneDrive for Business, OneNote, Office Online, and other utilities developed by Microsoft and the SDC.
