This is the fifth time Vietnamese students have won the title since the contest was launched in 2002.

Themed “Robot badminton”, this year’s contest saw the participation of 19 teams. The Vietnamese team involves students from the Hung Yen University of Technology and Education.

In the qualifying round of Group C, Viet Nam won victory over Japan and Kazakhstan and then surpassed Japan and the host in the quarterfinal and semi-final with impressive score of 5-1.

Found in 2002 by Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union, the Asia-Pacific Robot Contest (ABU Robocon) aims to create friendship among young people and advance engineering and broadcasting technologies in the region.
