Vietnamese students in US organize business idea competition
A competition dedicated to business ideas organized by the Association of Vietnamese Students and Professionals in the United States is open for applications until early February.

VietChallenge, which is a contest for business ideas in all fields for young Vietnamese entrepreneurs around the world, is held in cooperation with the Association of Vietnamese Students in Boston and Vietnamese student associations in other countries.
In terms of social goals, the competition is aimed at building the image of young Vietnamese businesspeople as being creative, ambitious and capable of adapting to the rapidly changing global business environment.
The business objective of VietChallenge is to support brilliant business ideas that have excellent economic impacts not only on the winning teams but also on the Vietnamese economy in general.
The competition is sponsored by the Vietnamese student associations at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Harvard University, and several other organizations including Misfit Wearables, Viet Capital Bank, Vietjet Air and others.
Teams must have at least two members, including at least one member with a Vietnamese heritage, aged 18 and older, and the compulsory language will be English.
The final round of VietChallenge, which is expected to take place in early April at the MIT, will have the judging board of professors and leading experts in finance, investment, legislation and others.
Qualified contestants who cannot compete directly in the finale can opt to present their ideas through Skype.
The wining team will receive a US$10,000 cash prize and the six teams participating in the final round will be awarded $500 each.
