Vietnamese students to compete in int'l fuel efficient contest
Eleven teams from Viet Nam’s top engineering and industrial universities and junior colleges will compete at the 2016 Shell Eco-marathon Asia (SEM), reported Lao Dong newspaper.

The event, a competition that challenges teams to build energy efficient vehicles, will be hosted by the Philippines from March 3 to 6.
Over 100 students teams will gather to showcase, test and drive their self-built fuel-efficient vehicles on the streets of Manila .
Prizes will be awarded for the cars that run the farthest on a single litre of fuel.
In the event last year, a Vietnamese team, the LH-Gold Energy from Lac Hong University, won the first place and set a new record in the Alternative Fuel event in the Urban Concept category.
Another Vietnamese team, the CKD-MN10 from HCM City University of Technology and Education, brought home second prize in the prototype petrol.
Besides the contest, this year will also mark the third edition of the Shell Powering Progress Together Forum in Manila .
More than 250 thought leaders from businesses, governments and civil societies around Asia Pacific are to gather to discuss multi-sector collaborative actions toward a more resilient and sustainable future.
