International Training Course on riverbank planning
A Summer International Training Course, entitled ‘Intervention Lab: Integrated Riverbank and Waterfront Planning’, is taking place in Da Nang until 11 March.
The 12-day course is being jointly organised by the Da Nang Architecture University (DAU) and the city’s University of Science and Technology, along with the Technical University of Berlin, the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research in Berlin, and the United Nations Human Settlements Programme.
Twenty international students from universities in Germany and 30 Vietnamese students are attending the course which is being held at DAU and some venues in Cam Le District.
Participants are involved in academic exchange activities, group discussions and joint work. They are also developing new ideas for planning and designing to protect and enhance the landscapes alongside the Cam Le River. Their ideas will then be publicly displayed along the section of Thang Long, between its intersection with Luong Dinh Cua and Nguyen Tri Phuong Bridge, from 11 - 14 March.
