Local pupils receive notable prizes in national contest

The National Science and Technology Contest of the 2015 - 2016 Academic Year for junior and senior high school pupils in the southern central regions and the highlands took place in Dong Nai Province’s Bien Hoa City from 12 - 15 March. 

A total of 358 contestants from 33 junior and senior high schools participated, and between them all they introduced 206 projects on 18 different topics.

Six of the projects were presented by pupils from Da Nang, and 4 of them won notable prizes.  In particular, the ‘Braille Printer for The Blind’ project by Nguyen Thien Nhan from the Le Quy Don Senior High School for Gifted Students and Dang Huynh Khanh Ly from the Hoa Vang Senior High School won a 2nd prize. 

Another 2nd prize was given to the ‘House Model to Reduce Pollution for Residential Areas near the Khanh Son Waste Dump in Da Nang’ project by Quach Duc Huy and Tran My Duyen from the Tran Phu Senior High School.

Another 2 projects shared 3rd place.  They were the ‘Greentree Energy’ project by Le Dinh Duy and Mai Ngoc Han from the Phan Chau Trinh Senior High School, and the ‘Remote Interactive Robot’ project by Tran Chi Nguyen and Tran Minh Tan from the Le Quy Don School.
