The 3^th Olympiad of Talent in English for the central region and highlands is taking place in Da Nang yesterday and today.  The event is being co-organised by the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training, the Dai Truong Phat Education Company, and the Ho Chi Minh-based Education newspaper.

The event has attracted over 100 contestants, all pupils from central regional localities who are in grades 5, 9 and 11, and they have been divided into 16 teams.  They are competing in 3 rounds namely ‘What is the topic?’, ‘Are you a good communicator?’, and ‘Who is the best orator?’.    

The event aims to create a useful opportunity for the regional pupils to share and exchange their English learning skills, which will help to change and improve English teaching methods in schools.
