On Monday, in recognition of International Children's Day (1 June), the Da Nang Fatherland Front Committee presented scholarships worth 1 million VND each to 100 local poor pupils. 

The recipients had achieved good results in the 2015 - 2016 academic year and had been awarded prizes in all-level exams for outstanding students.

The granting of the scholarships aimed to encourage them to continue to overcome their difficulties and achieve good academic results.
