The Hoang Sa Junior High School has recently been established following a decision issued by the Son Tra District People’s Committee on 27 May.  The school is located at 7 Vu Tong Phan in the district’s Tho Quang Ward, and has its own seal, legal status and bank account. 

It is the first time a school in the city has been named after Hoang Sa island district, which is now under the administrative management of Da Nang.

The public school’s legal rights, tasks, organisational structure and performance  complies with the Ministry of Education and Training’s regulations about junior and senior high schools and integrated multi-level educational establishments.

In early July, the school will enrol 600 Year 6 pupils into about 16 classes in accordance with the admission requirements for its first academic year, 2016 - 2017.  Meanwhile, a number of Year 7, 8 and 9 pupils from the ward’s Ly Tu Trong Junior High School will be transferred to the newly-established Hoang Sa school for the upcoming academic year.
