Aikido to be taught in Dong A Univeristy

The Chairman of the private Dong A University, Ms Nguyen Thi Anh Dao, said it is the first university in the central region and highlands to include the martial art in the curriculum along with karate, taekwondo, football and volleyball.
Japanese masters will start training students later this year.
The university also established karate, aikido and taekondo clubs for regular training three days a week along with life-skills programmes.
The private college and William Angliss Institute from Australia have started a personnel training programme for the hospitality, tourism and culinary arts sectors for the 2016-17 period, as well as Japanese language training in cooperation with Route Inn Group from Japan.
Aikido, which debuted in Viet Nam in 1958, was introduced in Da Nang 33 years ago.
