Open RoboDnic 2016 concludes
An awards ceremony took place at Da Nang’s Le Quy Don Senior High School for Gifted Students yesterday for the city’s 2016 Robot-Making Open Contest for High School Pupils (RoboDnic 2016).

The contest, which took place in the city from 19 - 21 August, attracted 19 teams from Da Nang and one from Quang Nam Province. Together they treated the audience to numerous exciting and dramatic performances.
The first prize of 15 million VND went to the Wall-E team from the Le Quy Don school. The J4F and The Eighteen teams, both from Phan Chau Trinh Senior High School, took the second prize of 8 million VND and the third prize of 5 million VND respectively. A commendation prize of 2 million VND was awarded to the DNL team, also from the Phan Chau Trinh school.
In addition, prizes of 2 million VND each were given to the Arigato team from Nguyen Trai Senior High School showing the most impressive performance style, and to the QN-CKT team from Quang Nam Province with the most creative robot-making procedure.
According to the event’s organisers, this year’s teams had all prepared well for their performances, with a focus on ensuring the quality of their robot-making, designing and testing procedures. Many of the teams faced obstacles during the contest but they were determined not to give up and tried to complete their performances. This proves their great passion and strong aspirations for developing robotic technology.
